CHRIS BLUE

Chris Blue (Takoma Park, MD. 1993) is a musician and designer based in Los Angeles, CA. A training in sculpture morphed into the foundation of studio company, Yamiyama Atelier, LLC and sonic project, Featherweight Yang. Chris has been fortunate enough to develop under the guidance of late filmmaker, Barbara Hammer, and multidisciplinary artists, Jon Beasley and Isabelle Albuquerque. Chris earned their BFA in Studio Art from New York University in 2015. Chris was a 2016 Fellow of Queer|Art’s Mentorship program in New York, NY, and in 2014, participated in the post-studio residency program, The McDonalds Residency, in Tribeca, NY. Chris is a 2020 San Diego Underground Arts Emerging Artist Fellow.
