Foundation House Artist Residency - Foundation House, located in back country Greenwich, CT, will open its doors for 10 days to six residents, allowing residents the time and space for concentrated creation in beautiful and inspiring surroundings. Foundation House’s mission as a non profit center for learning is to focus on health, wellness, the environment, and social justice. To that end, we will host residencies, workshops, lectures and other meaningful gatherings on these topics. Chicago Film Festival - Cinema/Chicago, the presenting organization of the Chicago International Film Festival, is a year-round non-profit cultural and educational organization dedicated to fostering better communication between people of diverse cultures through the art of film and the moving image. 2024 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Design - Applications will be accepted in digital design, graphic design, product design, and social design. Applicants must have been born outside the United States and be 38 years of age or younger, but limited exceptions to the age requirement may apply to individuals who have taken caregiving, medical, military, or parental leave. Banff Centre Emerging Writers Residency: Poetry 2023 - This two-week residency provides thematic teaching from faculty members and professional guests, Q&A sessions, public readings, and one-on-one workshopping. Mentors will discuss ideas, experiences, and obstacles that you may be encountering with your writing from across poetic genres.

Vermont Studio Center Residency Program - Our residency program welcomes artists and writers working across all mediums and genres for two, three, and four week sessions. Residents enjoy well-lit, private studios within a short walk to residency housing, dining hall, and local amenities. Studio spaces range from 170 - 300 square feet. Accommodations include a private room and shared common areas. The campus features include a print shop, digital lab, and metal, wood, ceramic facility. Studios are open 24 hours a day.

Monson Arts Residency Program - Monson Arts’ residency program supports emerging and established artists and writers by providing them time and space to devote to their creative practices. During each of our 2-week and 4-week programs throughout the year, a cohort of 5 artists and 5 writers are invited to immerse themselves in small town life at the edge of Maine’s North Woods and focus intensely on their work within a creative and inspiring environment. They receive a private studio, private bedroom in shared housing, all meals, and $1,000 stipend ($500 for 2-week programs).

Web Series Festival Global - A great opportunity for anyone wanting to gain more exposure for their web series. There are three categories that will be judged in this competition which are web series, web series scripts, and web series pilots. Prairie Ronde Artist Residency - Prairie Ronde is hosted by The Mill at Vicksburg, a redevelopment project of the former Lee Paper Company mill, in the historic village of Vicksburg, Michigan. Links Hall: Co-MISSION Residency and Fellowship - Links Hall is in search of 10 new Chicago-based artists to incubate in our brick-and-mortar white and black box studios for the upcoming two seasons! The Co-MISSION Residency is awarded to three performance artists to engage in the development & research of new or existing work, from mid-September to mid-December. The Co-MISSION Fellowship is awarded to two (2) performance artists to undergo an intense rehearsal process from January to May. CALA Alliance Residencias Artísticas - CALA Alliance’s residency program is one of the only programs that fosters Latinx artistic talent in the United States, providing artists with unparalleled resources that enable them to realize innovative, ambitious new work. Springboard for the Arts Rural Regenerator Fellowship - The Rural Regenerator Fellowship brings together individual artists, makers, and culture bearers, grassroots organizers, community development workers, public sector workers and other rural changemakers who are committed to advancing the role of art, culture and creativity in rural development and community building. San Francisco Transgender Film Festival - Founded in 1997, the San Francisco Transgender Film Festival (SFTFF) builds a strong and diverse community through the power of transgender cinema. SFTFF is the world’s first and longest-running Transgender Film Festival, and co-presents year-round screenings in collaboration with other LGBT film festivals. Seattle Queer Film Festival - The Seattle Queer Film Festival, a program of Three Dollar Bill Cinema, has been held annually in October since 1996. The festival has grown into the largest event of its kind in the Pacific Northwest, gaining industry and audience recognition for showcasing the latest and greatest in queer film, from major motion picture premieres to emerging talent. Ryan Hudak LGBTQ+ Playwright Award - The Ryan Hudak LGBTQ+ Playwright Award is an annual $10,000 cash grant awarded to one (1) New York State-based playwright who self-identifies as LGBTQ+. The Award honors the life and work of Ryan Hudak. Ryan was a gay playwright, theater maker, filmmaker, and a valued member of NYFA’s staff, serving on the executive and development teams. Applicants will need to be practicing playwrights and be able to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to their creative practice and career. CUE Open Call for Solo Exhibitions - The open call builds upon CUE’s mission to support emerging and underrecognized artists. Selected artists are awarded an opportunity to present their work in a solo exhibition at CUE’s gallery space during the 2024 calendar year. Each awardee will be paired with a mentor, an established artist or curator who will work with them throughout the process of planning and installing the exhibition. CUE provides a generous honorarium to each awardee, as well as a budget for transport of artwork and materials for on-site installation of the works in the show. APA | DC LGBTQIAP+ Photography Grant - Our goal is to celebrate the LGBTQIAP+ experience through photography. We hope to champion storytellers and bring visibility to the LGBTQIAP+ community’s national platform and cultivate a safe space for funding, recognition, and representation in our professional photographic community. The APA | DC LGBTQIAP+ Photography Grant is open to all photographers worldwide and can support new or in-progress projects. It will be awarded based on the strength of visual portfolios and submitted artist statements. Light Work Artist-in-Residence Program - Each year Light Work invites 12-15 artists to participate in its residency program, including one artist co-sponsored by Autograph ABP, and two artists co-sponsored by the Darryl Chappel Foundation. Center for Contemporary Printmaking AIR - The Artist-in-Residence Program (AIR) at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking takes place in the recently remodeled Helen Frankenthaler Printmaking Cottage. Within this space artists have the opportunity to produce a body of work in a supportive atmosphere for creative growth and development —using traditional as well as innovative printmaking techniques. The intention of the residency is to offer artists uninterrupted time and privacy 24/7 in a well-equipped studio with onsite living accommodations. Penland Resident Artist Program - Penland’s Resident Artist Program, established in the 1960s, is one of the longest-running residencies in the US. Ucross Foundation Residency - Ucross strives to provide a respectful, comfortable, and productive environment, freeing artists from the pressures and distractions of daily life. Each year, we provide residencies to approximately 115 individuals. Residencies range from two weeks to six weeks in length. At any one time, there are up to ten individuals in residence, typically four writers, four visual artists, and two composers.

Ucross Foundation Fellowships for Native American Visual Artists and Writers - In July 2017, Ucross announced a new initiative to support the work of contemporary Native American visual artists at all stages in their professional careers. The Ucross Fellowship for Native American Visual Artists is open to disciplines that include but are not limited to painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, video, performance art, installation, ceramics, and collaborative projects involving multiple disciplines. In 2020, following the success of its Fellowship for Native American Visual Artists, Ucross launched a similar opportunity for Native American writers at all stages in their professional careers. The Ucross Fellowship for Native American Writers is open to practicing writers who are currently producing work in one or more of the following genres — fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, screenwriting, playwriting, or hybrid forms.

Loghaven Artist Residency - Loghaven Artist Residency’s mission is to serve artists by providing them with a transformative residency experience and continued post-residency support. The residency is located on ninety acres of woodland in Knoxville, Tennessee. Artists live in five historic log cabins that have been both rehabilitated and modernized to create an ideal setting for reflection and work, and they have access to new, purpose-built studio space. All Loghaven Fellows are awarded stipends to support the creation of new work during the residency.

Joan Mitchell Foundation Residency - At the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans, we offer artists dedicated time and space for the creative process through 6 or 14 week residencies. Eligible artists must either be based in New Orleans (for the last five years) or native to New Orleans, or be a former grant recipient of the Joan Mitchell Foundation based anywhere in the United States.

2024 Grand Canyon Artist-in-Residence - Grand Canyon Conservancy's Artist-in-Residence program supports contemporary solo artists who wish to contribute to the cultural and aesthetic legacy of Grand Canyon. The Artist-in-Residence program is directly tied to the National Park Service's priority of expanding equity and inclusion through storytelling and the Grand Canyon Conservancy's mission "to inspire generations of park champions and to cherish and support the natural and cultural wonder of Grand Canyon." Yaddo - We offer residencies to professional creative artists from all nations and backgrounds working in one or more of the following disciplines: choreography, film, literature, musical composition, painting, performance, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video. You may apply individually or as members of collaborative teams of up to three artists. Peer review is the keystone of our selection process, with different panelists each season. Residencies last from two weeks to two months and include room, board and a studio. There is no fee to come to Yaddo, and we have access grants to help offset the costs of attending a residency.

Storyknife Writers Retreat for Women Writers - Storyknife offers writing residencies for two and four week periods. Each accepted woman writer will have her own cabin where she can write and reflect, sleep and dream. All meals are provided onsite by Storyknife's chef. Breakfast is prepared by the writers from ingredients in the main house’s kitchen. Our chef manager will bring a nutritious lunch to each cabin, and in the evening, the writers will gather at the main house for a shared meal. Each woman will establish her own writing schedule and projects, and together, they will be able to form the kind of supportive writing friendships that last a lifetime.

The Authors League Fund - The Authors League Fund helps authors, dramatists, journalists, critics, short story writers, and poets. We help career writers with a substantial body of work. The Authors League Fund is an emergency fund providing non-taxable charitable support. We help in times of urgent need, when a writer cannot afford to pay for necessities. We help writers at all stage of life, though priority is given to sick and/or older writers, and to mid- and late-career writers. We have limited funds for younger and/or emerging writers whose emergency is solely related to insufficient income.

DGF Bridge Grants - The Dramatists Guild Foundation’s Bridge Grants are need-based awards of up to $500, now available to support dramatists with non-emergency and essential daily life expenses. It is vital to support writers in times of need so that they can get back to doing what they do best. DGF provides emergency financial assistance to individual playwrights, composers, lyricists, and librettists in dire need of funds due to severe hardship or unexpected illness. Housing Grants are one-time grants to help theater writers with accumulated housing expenses. DGF is committed to preventing evictions and displacement of dramatic writers and helping them rebuild their lives during difficult times.
