New Orleans resident Miss Hot Girl Bijoux–part time DJ, full time hype girl– is always the last to leave the dance floor, and never got the memo that Studio 54 shut down in the 80s. She has graced the decks of celebrated queer productions throughout the South, from Deep Lez to Idapalooza. She lives to make you sweat.
The Illustrious Blacks are a Neo Afro Futuristic Psychedelic Surrealistic Hippy Pop duo comprised of Monstah Black and Manchildblack. Renowned for their ethereal vocals, gravity defying performances, and gender bending celestial fashion, The Illustrious Blacks fuse futuristic funk, hypnotic house, space disco, and synth-pop into pure, pulsating positivity. Inspired by artists like Prince, David Bowie, Grace Jones, Depeche Mode and George Clinton, the real life married couple are not only co-pilots on their artistic voyage, but are united in their fantastical journey through life. Join them on their mission to save the world one beat at a time and encourage all to “LIVE THE HYPE LIFE!”
