Meet the Body Hack x Queer|Art|Pride Vendors!

For the entirety of Pride weekend, Queer|Art is joining forces with Body Hack to host a 40 hour nonstop Pride festival at Nowadays to raise essential funds for GLITS! On Saturday, June 29th from 4–10PM, we’re throwing a sprawling clothing swap and queer vendor fair in Nowadays’ outdoor space. The fair will convene 15+ amazing local queer artisans and creatives, who will be selling a diverse array of goods, services, and artworks. We’re talking garments, jewelry, aromatherapy products, candles, tarot readings, cosmetics, haircuts, flash tattoos, stickers, glitter, lingerie, and more. We truly have gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, and who's-its and what's-its galore!

You can RSVP for the vendor fair here, and read all the rest of the Body Hack x Queer|Art event details here. Meet all the vendors below, and we’ll see you on Saturday, June 29th for the Pride event of the season!

People’s Riisearch Group (@pplsriisearch) was founded by lex barlowe, dash pinheiro, and Safiyyah Riddle. Utilizing participatory art and research-based methods, the People’s Riisearch Group is collecting, compiling, and mobilizing both institutional and personal archival materials about queer Riis and conducting oral history interviews with queer Riis community members. At the Vendor Fair, they’ll be selling stickers, Riis oral history zines / guides, and towels.

Mariquitx (@mariquitx) will be offering a variety of small (1”-2") hand-poked flash tattoos. Mariquitx sees their tattooing process as a ritual and a non-hierarchical collaboration in which the skin becomes a connector, trust and safety are traded and vulnerability is a shared language. Their work as a tattoo artist is dedicated to providing a safe, enjoyable, and accessible tattoo experience to the queer community, opening space for trauma-informed communication, and making sure each individual feels comfortable and cared for throughout the session.

BioGlitz (@bioglitz) specializes in biodegradable and home compostable glitter, and at the Vendor Fair, will be applying glitter as a special service!

Hair by Phoenix Casino is a trans-owned, Asian-owned service providing haircuts and hair styling. Their services are open to all, but my main focus and clientele are trans and queer people. They operate from three guiding principles: beauty as defined by our own eyes and experiences, expression as our authentic selves, and accessibility through sliding scale rates and disability accommodations.

QueerCare Inc. (@queercareinc) is an entirely volunteer-run and trans-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit that offers 100% free post-op support for people recovering from gender-affirming surgeries. They will be selling QueerCare t-shirts, stickers, and buttons, with all proceeds going to support their work.

Skulled (@_skulled_) creates custom chainwear for the playful, powerful, and protected. They will be vending genderless, custom chain accessories, alongside fetish wear and carefully curated vintage items.

Taj’s Tower will be offering individual tarot and oracle readings, courtesy of Taj Levi.

Le Sante Achichin is styled after a modern day apothecary. They will be offering herbal infused medicinals such as salves, tinctures, sauces, smoke blends, and more. Most items include THC and/or CBD infusions.

Bodied (@bodied.studio) exists to create the most inclusive range of variations needed in any of our designs to literally suit every single human. They will be selling lingerie in sizes XXS-8X and in 5 different body configurations catering to the needs of trans and gender nonconforming people, as well as offering accessibility modifications.

Matchmaker's Garden (matchmakers.garden) provides homegrown, foraged and homemade skin care products, medicinal teas and tinctures to soothe the frazzled trans bod. Their table at the Vendor Fair will include moisturizers, tinctures for ADHD, grief and stress, some delicious tea to make you happy.

Three Peruvian QTPOC brands come together to compose a vibrant table: mamama (mamama.velas, offering handmade candles), mundanas revolutions (mundanasrevolutions, selling upcycled clothing), and nieto de las brujas (nietodelasbrujas, which provides paintings-drawings and handpainted bags).

Ashford Craig is an artist who will be selling colorful earrings made from testosterone bottles (no testosterone involved), pride keystraps across a lot of less acknowledged gender and sexual identities, and offering face painting as a service.

saintleeb is the iconic seamstress shawty. Their table at the Vendor Fair will include handmade and hand sewn knit wear, dresses, and crop tops that feature their custom dyed designs.

Body Hack fair regular The Rooted Zodiac (@therootedzodiac) makes their return this year, with more prints, herbal, and aromatherapy products based on astrology featuring QTBIPOC ancestors.
